I am a nonbinary researcher-artist from NYC who is currently the associate director of The Human Arts Collective. With Jamie, the two of us are the directors and stage managers, as well as cast members who are writers and actors in My Story, My Voice. I also helped with the web design of the show’s site! I love backstage and behind the scenes work as much as I love creating performance work. While in undergrad at SUNY Geneseo, I focused on dramaturgy and stage management whereas in my MFA program at Pratt now, I’m focusing on my performance processes. I’m so proud of what My Story, My Voice has become and can’t wait to participate in The Human Arts Collective’s next projects! Connect with me on Instagram at @lilaklatz or at @thehumanartscollective.
Jamie Lynne Lazan
Hey dear friend, I am so excited to have your presence at our show! I am a quirky, passionate artist and community builder living in NYC. I am the artistic director and founder of The Human Arts Collective. I am also one of the two director’s for My Story, My Voice! In this guided production, I step into the shoes of stage manager, producer, writer, actor, and support the vision for the website design. I am so grateful for the meaningful connections and collective impact created through learning of one another’s stories. When not creating, I am most likely seeking out new ways to learn and travel, entering new worlds through bringing pen to paper, and immersing myself in impromtu adventures. Please feel free to connect with me on Instagram @jamiejalynne or Facebook; I love collaboration and connection.
Misha Mullany (Lead Sound Designer) is so excited to be part of the My Story My Voice team! She is a graduate of NYU Tisch’s Experimental Theatre Wing and seeks to create art that connects with others and the world. In addition to Sound Design, Misha is an actor, writer, and director. She is grateful for the opportunity to create art in these challenging times and to become a part of the Human Arts Collective family. Much thanks to the cast and crew of this beautiful project, her family, and her supporters. She hopes these stories move you as much as they’ve moved her.
Taylor Natkin is a photographer and filmmaker based in Rochester, NY. She studied film and studio art at SUNY New Paltz, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Production. During her last semester in college, Taylor worked as a Digital Production and Marketing intern at the DENIZEN Theatre in New Paltz, where she photographed events at the theatre, filmed and edited video content for the theatre’s social medias and website. Aside from her love for editing video, Taylor has a deep passion for cinematography. She is currently working as a freelance video editor in her spare time, and is incredibly thankful to be working as an editor for My Story, My Voice.
Hey! I’m Meagan Odette and I’m one half of the social media team for My Story, My Voice! I’m really excited to show off the great work being done by everyone involved. The crew and cast are all so creative and have put their whole heart into this work.
A bit about me... I’m a recent graduate from SUNY Geneseo with a double major in Communications and Sociology. Oh...and I also hate taking photos, this one is from 2017.
Hi there! I’m Mia, a multicultural freelance filmmaker based in NYC and one half of the social media team, as well as Technical Director, for The Human Arts Collective. I got my Bachelor’s in 2018 from SUNY Oswego, studying Broadcast and Mass Communication and Business Administration. Since then, I have worked on over a dozen productions in film and TV doing a variety of jobs mostly in the camera department and aspire to becoming a full-time Cinematographer. Outside of work, I love to watch movies, listen to music, read, dance, take photos, paint, and eat A LOT.
Hello Everyone! My name is Maria Uribe, and I am the Production Assistant for My Story, My Voice. So far my experience working with the cast and crew has been amazing. Both the content
and the people involved have been nothing but helpful and have shown extreme talent and growth. I truly feel honored being a part of this team and project. I am also a recent graduate from State University of New York at New Paltz, with a B.A. in Digital Media Production and a minor in communications. My goal in life is to inform and create content for people across the nation.
Hi There! My name is Nicholas Wagner, and I’m a Sound Designer/ Audio Editor for My Story, My Voice. I am a graduate from SUNY New Paltz with a B.A. in Digital Media Production. Since college, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some incredible documentary-style work involving two of my favorite topics... Environmental Conservation and Breweries! My passion stems more from just sitting behind a desk to edit sound, as I also take pride in my skills as a Location Sound Recordist. It’s my dream to be able to travel across the country (or countries) and share the incredible tales of people working extremely hard to battle climate change, as well as the battle to make the best brew! I am very grateful to be working on this project, and to help expand the reach of each of these artist’s stories the best way I know how to!
